Performance Report
A regular summary showing how your marketing is performing with real numbers.
The Tradie Take
A performance report is like your job profit-and-loss statement at the end of the month. You do not want a novel - you want the bottom line. How many jobs did we get? Where did they come from? What cost more than it should have? A good marketing report does the same thing - tells you what worked, what did not, and what we are doing about it.
Definition
A performance report is a regular (usually monthly) summary of your marketing metrics - rankings, traffic, calls, reviews, and progress on the work done. For tradies on a retainer, it answers the only question that matters: is this working? A good report shows rank movements, review growth, citations secured, content published, and what is planned next month. No jargon, no fluff - just the numbers that tell you whether your marketing investment is paying off.
How It Works
- 1 Each month, key metrics are tracked and compiled into a report
- 2 Rankings, traffic, reviews, calls, and completed work are all included
- 3 Changes from last month are highlighted - what improved, what dropped
- 4 Next month priorities are outlined so you know what is coming
Tips for Tradies
- Reports should be monthly - weekly is too often, quarterly is not often enough
- Look for trends over time, not just this month vs last month
- A good report focuses on business outcomes (calls, jobs, revenue) not vanity metrics (impressions, likes)
